Founded in 1959, Rosentaler Reisebuero Stefaner, is a Bus Operator and Travel Agency, situated in the Rosental (“Valley of Roses”) in the Province of Carinthia in Southern Austria. Over the years we have built up a lot of experience, and we pride ourselves of high quality and flexibility in the design of our tours, and personal service when dealing with our clients. We are fully licensed and bonded according to regulations.
As a Destinations Management Company we serve the region and the whole of Central Europe. Due to the fact that we operate our own buses, and with our knowledge of and close contacts in the area, we are able to provide a premium product at very competitive prices. Attention to detail and fulfilling the wishes of our guests are always our foremost goal.
We offer tailor-made escorted tours for leisure and sightseeing groups, for the corporate and incentive sector, for sports and other clubs, choirs, societies, for religious groups, as well as for any special interest.
THE REGION AND SEASONS:
Situated in the South of Austria, the sunny province of Carinthia offers beautiful scenery, with high mountain peaks, and it is the prime lake district of the country. Thus this area is popular with visitors from Austria, as well as from many different countries in Europe. During summer, many of the guests enjoy the warm lakes, in winter the skiing slopes and other winter sports facilities. For sightseeing tours, the best season is from April to June, and again September and October.
Carinthia is ideally situated in the heart of Europe, close not only to the attractions of the Alpine Mountains, but also to the Adriatic Sea. Therefore it is a perfect base for exploring not only Austria, but also the neighbouring regions of Northern Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, with its numerous sights and touristic highlights. Austria itself offers many cultural treasures, including palaces and baroque shrines, as well as culinary delights. Generally this region is one of the safest and most rewarding in Europe.
Access by flight is to various airports in the region, such as Venice / Treviso, Vienna / Bratislava, Munich, Salzburg, Klagenfurt, Ljubljana and others. We will gladly consult closely with you regarding which flight connection is best suitable for your group, and build the itinerary accordingly.
